This glossary provides definitions of many of the terms used in the Postal Industry. The following guide has been devised just for you to help with various definitions of the various words or phrases used in our Industry.

Alternate Deliver Service refers to a mail delivery service other than the Postal Service. It is also called private delivery. Alternate Deliver Service is available only for priority mail, and only through certain carriers.

The customer needs to affix the label provided by Reliance on all pallets / boxes with Date, Job Number, Job Name, Number of Pallets / Boxes, Service Type and Carrier as identification before arrival into Reliance depot.

Reliance only works with a Terminal dues service, what does this means for you; we directly work with the Post Offices through our “Supply Chain” and not through a “ADS – Alternative Delivery Service” to bring far superior service and transparency.
