Rates
We have a unique International Postage Quote template (IPQ), you the Customer can calculate your own distribution cost and it is valid for the full calendar year. Please ask your Account handler for further details.
The calculation for all Mail and Packet products is based on the customers individual shipment profile. The rates are calculated ex Reliance depot.
Our rates and services are based on the international terminal dues system which is governed by the Universal Postal Union (UPU)
The terminal dues system is based on an item and kg pricing method. All items are billed according to their actual weight in gram.
Reliance offers pickup’s directly from the customer’s site. Respective costs will be calculated upon request.
How to present your International Mail
International mail is presented in shipments, not as single items. All items shipped on one day using the same carrier should be consolidated into one shipment. Items belonging to different carriers must be physically separated and thus put into different boxes or pallet.
For each carrier a pallet label has to be created.
All items need to carry a PPI (Postage Paid Impression) according to service type with supplied indicia. For each carrier, items need to be sorted by service level, destination and format.
The pallet label is necessary to document the handover of shipments and is the basis for invoicing.
In general, a pre-alert has to be sent to ops@reliance-grp.com for each shipment.
When preparing your mail for dispatch you may use either bags, boxes, pallets or pallet boxes. Receptacles should be disposable and will not be returned. The maximum weight of a bag or a box must not exceed 25 kg. Pallets must not exceed the height of 1.60 m due to work safety.
Copies of the pallet label must be affixed to each receptacle in a clearly visible manner.
Indicia
All items need to carry a PPI (Postage Paid Impression) according to the service type with supplied indicia. For each carrier, items need to be sorted by service level, destination and format.

A list of countries is available through your account handler or you can view the destinations in the International postage quote (IPQ) for which PPI is required and for which service type.

But one question just kept coming up?
• We never know when our campaigns / mail has landed into the specific country?
• We asked why would you want to know?
• So, we can advise our sales / marketing teams to start measuring ROI and get back to the end customer!
Light bulb moment! – Data is king!
After checking with our supply chain, Royal Mail (UK), Bpost (Belgium), Deutsche Post (Germany) to name a few, we found that this information was for internal use only?
What if we can produce full visibility from collecting from the printers / airports and reporting the information back to our customers quickly.
Going back and forth to the supplier chain to retrieve this data was a task in itself.
The postal industry is still built on old legacy platforms and very much fragmented and set in their own way.
They don’t really want to give you the data!
With all our efforts and being persistent in our goal –
This is was problem we had to fix for our customers!
Thus, the “POE” was born, the information was manually extracted from our supply chain and put into an excel format so it would be easily read.
We called it the POE Report – Proof of Execution showing progress / tracking feasibility information for campaigns / mail received into Reliance and process audit into the supplier chain network and beyond.
What’s the future? We have now embarked on creating a booking platform to bring all data and feasibility through API from our supply chain to give YOU access to real-time tracking feasibility information to serve your end customers.
